CNN — Dark Reading New Information about the New Internet Of Things Security Certificate Program, which aims to certify that new technologies are secure.
The program has been created by a cybersecurity group called the Center for Internet and Society.
The center has previously released a series of articles on the topic.
The first article, published in May, called the program a “step in the right direction” but said it was too early to know how it would work in practice.
The new report said the certification process is based on information gleaned from tests, interviews and training sessions, and that the program is “currently being used in the context of IoT security.”
The new report was published Tuesday.
“The Center for Information Security and Security Policy has been working with organizations around the world to help develop a certification program for the Internet of things,” said Jessica Hahn, a Center for Innovation and Innovation program manager.
“This program will help ensure that IoT-related products and services are more secure than ever before.”
The certification process relies on several standards, including the CISA-18 IoT Security Certificate Standard, the IoT-Certified Certificate of Safety for the IoT, and the IoT Security Certification Standard, according to the Center’s report.
It also notes that the certification is not yet finalized and will likely be updated with new information over time.
The Center has also previously released documents and slides showing how a recent public test of the certification program was conducted.
The certification program is open to anyone who wants to join.
The certification program does not require any specific credentials.
The center is not affiliated with any specific companies or entities, but has been in contact with some of the major manufacturers, such as Amazon, Intel, Dell, and Samsung, who are involved in IoT certification.
