Updated May 23, 2019 04:09:49HITLER, Germany—A German research institute is considering expanding its use of Internet of Things devices to include a secure source of encryption to protect information stored on them.
The IOTA project, led by Germany’s IOTA Foundation, is trying to find a secure solution to keep information encrypted on the Internet of things (IoT) devices, such as smart lights and doorbells, but its goal is to make it a widely used technology that can also protect people and data.
The idea of securing IoT devices is gaining traction in Europe, where governments and manufacturers have been trying to make them safer.
The latest initiative to make IoT safer comes from Germany, which has already started to offer IoT devices as security measures, including smart locks, thermostats and cameras.
The latest initiative was announced by IOTA and the foundation this month, when it announced that it is launching a research program in collaboration with German tech company Bitdefender.
IOTA has set up a special project called the Internet-of the Things-Security Certificate (IOTA-SSC) program, which aims to make the IOTA devices secure, in collaboration a Bitdefenders subsidiary called IOTA Enterprise Security.
The program aims to secure IoT devices from hackers by creating a secure encryption system that will be installed on the device itself, so that the Iota devices are not easily broken.
The first batch of devices to be tested in this program are light bulbs and doors, both of which are connected to the Internet via WiFi.
The project hopes to expand the program to include other IoT devices, including security cameras and smart locks.
The new IoT devices will be made available to consumers and researchers through Bitdefending, Bitdefering said in a statement.
It has been working with a number of companies to secure the IoT devices.
The Bitdeferrals subsidiary has already been working to secure smart locks with its BitDefender security solutions.
Bitdefender’s products are used by thousands of businesses in Germany and elsewhere to help protect IoT devices and data, the company said in its statement.IOTA’s researchers are working with companies to build secure IoT solutions that can be used by IoT users as well.
Iota researchers are also working on security for smart home appliances and other devices, and are actively developing solutions for IoT and security for businesses.
The IoT-SSCs program is not the only IoT initiative that Bitdefer is working on.
Bitdefers Security Services division has been providing a security solution for IoT for the past few years.
It also recently added a new IoT-security certificate program.
The organization said it will be able to support IoT devices using the Bitdefered-supported Bitdefended Security Solutions, which includes smart lock encryption and security.
IOT devices are often sold as security devices to protect data on them, and they can also be used to control smart devices.
Iot devices can also make connections to the network through a network of connected sensors and sensors, and then communicate with other devices via Wi-Fi.
The security certificate program is a collaboration between Bitdefy and the BitDefer IOTA division, BitDefering said.
BitDefy provides hardware solutions and services to enterprises to help secure IoT and IoT-enabled devices, it said.
