It’s been a while since we’ve heard about IoT devices, but Google is already working on one, and it’s being marketed as the internet of everything device.
According to a report from Bloomberg, the company is building a “internet of everything” device that can connect to your smart home and give you all the information you need on your connected home and connected devices.
The device will include sensors to detect how much electricity your lights are on and how much water your water is coming from, and will be able to connect to the internet and tell you what apps you’re using, the report said.
The news comes on the heels of Google’s announcement of a new smart home hub, the Echo, that also includes sensors to measure your home’s temperature and humidity, and an app that can turn on the lights automatically and let you know if there are any alarms going off.
Google Home is an IoT device, which is also what Google is referring to as “internet-connected.”
The new Google Home device will come in a variety of colors, including gold and white, and has the capability to have a microphone, lights, a speaker, and more, Bloomberg reported.
