Posted August 06, 2018 09:15:46 A hacker recently hacked a home in the Philippines and used a drone to capture the video footage of the home’s contents.
According to the local news agency, the home was being used as a storage space for the family of a retired Army general who had retired in 2014.
The military officer is believed to have been living in the home in rural Mindanao province for the past three years.
The hacker, who used the name Hamed Mohsenian, was able to access a number of home devices including cameras, a remote control, a home automation system and a TV.
The family reportedly told the hacker to shut off the home appliances when he tried to get inside.
The drone was used to capture footage of some of the items that were allegedly taken from the home.
After capturing the footage, the hacker sent it to the Philippine National Police.
The Philippine government then arrested Mohsen, the local media reported.
The Filipino government has since released a statement saying that it is aware of the incident and is looking into it.
