Huawei and DHL announced the first internet of stuff partnership this week, as the tech giant launched its flagship Huawei IoT smartphone, Huawei-Huawei Liteos, on Monday.
The internet of thing is an emerging technology that promises to revolutionize the way we interact with the world, but has yet to materialize in reality.
The IoT has been largely left to the whims of manufacturers and governments to provide a complete, fully-featured internet of devices.
The Huawei-DHL IoT partnership is the first in the world that aims to bring the internet of everything to the consumer market, with a goal of reaching 100 million connected devices.
Huawei and DDL have already announced partnerships with Google, Amazon and Microsoft.
The two companies announced a joint project to create a smart home platform in 2020.
DDL is also working on a smart-home device called Smart Home in 2018, and Huawei is looking to launch its own IoT-enabled home products later this year.
