The joint venture is a bid to make IoT-enabled security a viable option for consumers.
Huawei and DHL announced the joint venture as part of a series of announcements aimed at making the Internet of Things (IoT) more secure and resilient.DHL is the world’s largest supplier of IoT solutions, and has been leading the development of the technology.
The announcement marks a major step in the development and implementation of the new IoT security solution, which will be developed and sold by DHL’s Global Security Solutions.
It is also a significant step in DHLs broader efforts to accelerate the adoption of IoT security solutions and enhance its cybersecurity capabilities, as the company seeks to become a leading provider of security solutions.
Dhl said it is the first of its kind in the world to create a IoT security system for commercial and home customers.
It is the largest and most comprehensive security solution for home, business and industrial IoT, the company said in a statement.DHR said the partnership will create a new cybersecurity system for home security that will be built using the most up-to date and advanced IoT technologies, which include Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi.
The new security system is the result of years of research and development by both companies, DHR said.
It will include cutting-edge technology that is available to other vendors as well, it said.
